Legal Directories Coordinator

For the New York Office of a Prestigious Global Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting public relations initiatives and the Firm brand by coordinating directory and survey submissions; maintaining national directory calendar, and providing information on new matters to the Firm matters database;
  • Handling initial drafts of New York and Nationwide directory submissions;
  • Compiling all preparatory materials in advance of directory interviews (submissions, past year's rankings, peer intelligence, etc.);
  • Maintaining upkeep of responsibilities chart (which partners are interviewed and when, who is responsible for submission, etc.);
  • Repurposing submissions for other directories; coordinating updates as appropriate.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree; minimum of 2 years Directories experience at a law firm;
  • Excellent drafting, editing and proofreading skills a must; able to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
  • Strong administrative skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines;
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with reporters, partners, senior administrative staff and peers; ability to handle sensitive matters.
  • Very strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills;
  • Excellent database skills.
