Legal Personnel Manager

For the New York Office of a Very Prestigious Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage day-to-day administration of Legal Personnel team, including work allocation, deadline prioritization, providing feedback; annual reviews and check-in meetings;
  • Act as point person for all new hires during orientation and on-boarding;
  • Work closely with Directors, Head of Diversity and other managers on other initiatives, as well as interpreting HR policies;
  • Manage review process for all lawyers, including managing associate compensation, and oversee all aspects of associate departures;
  • Coordinate with overseas offices concerning rotations and relocation and all aspects of the immigration process for New York office attorneys;
  • Oversee Legal Personnel budget and preparation of year-end analysis for Managing Partners.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least seven years of experience in professional services;
  • Must have at least three years managerial experience in an HR related role;
  • Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced, high pressure environment;
  • Solid time management and multitasking skills and a strong team member;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities;
  • Outstanding judgment and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality.
