Business Development Specialist
For the New York Office of a Large International Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with the litigation practices to analyze opportunities, develop new leads, and expand practice client bases;
- Draft RPS for new prospects and to expand relationship with existing clients;
- Conduct market research and analysis to gain an understading of financial instiution clients and make recommendations regarding strategies that will build top-line revenue;
- Work with Partners to facilitate the editorial process and production of quarterly newsletters; practice group descriptions, matter descriptions;
- Coordinate educational client events, including jointly-hosted initiatives, CLE seminars and webinars, as well as non-educational work events;
- Collaborate with writers and attorneys to update practice group descriptions, firm resume, ligation matters, alerts, newsletters and bios.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelors degree in marketing or business/finance required; Masters degree preferred;
- 5+ years of work experience in financial services, legal or professional services marketing;
- Self motivated, strong attention to detail and demonstrates effective project management skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- High self-initiative; ability to define goals, work independently, but also follow direction;
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities within right time constraints.
