Sr. PR Specialist: Firm Recognition & Surveys

For the New York Office of a Prestigious Global Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversees the Firm's participation in surveys and awards globally, including identifying opportunities and strategizing on writing and editing submissions;
  • Supports public relations initiatives to build the Firm brand, including coordinating legal directory submissions, and various projects such as marketing the Firm's pro bono efforts and the alumni outreach program;
  • Identifies best practices and creates timelines, templates, and process documents for all award nominations and works with firm management and partners to determine participation and develop content for submissions;
  • Leads marketing efforts in connection with award and survey results and collaborates with marketing administrators and managers globally to meet survey and award deadlines;
  • Works with various Firm departments to gather information needed for survey responses and interfaces with editors and researches in connection with survey and award opportunities;
  • Researches new opportunities and analyzes survey/award participation and marketing efforts by peer firms and complies peer analysis and historical awards lists as needed.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience, preferably within a law firm, professional services firm or similar; prior experience with directories or awards;
  • Excellent writing and editorial skills with strong detail-orientation and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work well under pressure and deadlines;
  • Ability to think both creatively and pragmatically and pay careful attention to detail without losing the
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable communicating both internally and externally with a sophisticated corporate audience;
  • Uses excellent judgment while handling sensitive matters;
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team; flexible to adjust hours to meet operating needs.
