Proposal Project Manager
For the New York Office of a Prestigious Global Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead firm-wide proposal generation process and serve as the primary resource to manage completion, submission, and on-time delivery of RFP responses;
- Develop proposal content that is client-centric, responsive, accurate and persuasive, and oversee the work of practice team assistants to regularly ensure all requirements are being met;
- Work collaboratively with the practice development assistant managers to manage the proposal databases, ensuring that content is populated, updated and accurate at all times;
- Oversee compilation of metrics regarding proposal preparation/response and manage the firm's RFP
- Serve as a writing coach on new business proposals to others on the Practice Development team and as a mentor to the Proposal Specialist;
- Act as a resource to the Marketing team, providing both high level strategic and hands-on support.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience as a manager of a busy proposal team. Law firm and marketing or sales experience is desirable;
- Team player with a high-performance team and experience with personnel management;
- Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbally and writing). Must be an excellent, concise writer and proofreader;
- Self-directed with the ability to know what needs to be done and do it with minimal supervision;
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to master new applications quickly and work easily with technology;
- Able to occasionally travel to other firm offices and work extended and irregular hours when required to perform essential duties.
