Legal Recruiting Assistant

For the New York Office of a Very Prestigious Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the administration and coordination of the Firm's recruiting and Summer Associate programs, providing daily support to all members of the recruiting team;
  • Send materials to law schools before on-campus interviews, prepare applicant papers and perform reference and background checks;
  • Aid with administrative duties for various recruiting and summer events as well as coordinating with venues for recruiting events;
  • Schedule applicants for office interviews, prepare offer and rejection letters, new-hire packages and forms;
  • Process applicant expenses, maintain budget binders, and file recruiting correspondence in order to assist with data entry;
  • Maintain personnel files for Summer Associates and help to collect Summer Associate evaluations and coordinate their departures.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of administrative work experience in a professional environment;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and a knowledge of Lotus Notes;
  • Articulate and professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality as well as good judgment and discretion;
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and a keen attention to detail;
  • Capability to work well under pressure and finish assignments accurately and in a timely manner;
  • The ability to work overtime as needed.
