Marketing Manager

For the Houston Office of an International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating with the Houston and Dallas offices to develop and implement a strategic business plan for expanding the Firm's name recognition and practice through BD, marketing and communication;
  • Managing the day-to-day marketing activities in both Houston and Dallas;
  • Developing and implementing strategic BD, PR and marketing plans for the Texas market;
  • Developing speaking and authorship opportunities with professional and trade organizations; supporting regional marketing and PR initiatives;
  • Coordinating events to facilitate the expansion of practices;
  • Providing support for RFPs, pitches and other projects; managing web content; supporting marketing, communication and graphics team.

Qualifications include:

  • BA (MBA or JD preferred) and 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, BD or a related field;
  • Substantial experience working in the Houston/Dallas legal and business communities and familiarity with organizations in both areas; possess local PR contacts and ability to leverage local media contacts;
  • Law firm or professional service experience preferred; ability to function independently and effectively in a matrix organization;
  • Ability to synthesize information into professional marketing communications (writing sample required);
  • Proficiency in the use of PowerPoint, spreadsheet and database applications; excellent writing and presentation skills and an exacting attention to detail;
  • Collaborative work ethic and flexibility due to a busy workload and occasional business travel.
