Professional Development Assistant Coordinator
For the New York Office of a Prestigious Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Update in-house departmental calendar; arrange and organize meetings, including: invitations, follow-up, room reservations and preparation; maintain charts and excel spread sheets;
- Handle all departmental clerical and administrative tasks, including: answering phones, word processing,
- Maintain department invitation and training databases, library of programs, program files and tracking charts; monitor department budget and forecasts;
- Facilitate scheduling of conference rooms for training programs; type timed agendas and scan evaluations after each program;
- Create sign-in sheets and evaluation forms and handle preparation of materials for all programs;
- Serve as general back-up support to Coordinators, Managers and Chief for all programs and events.
Qualifications include:
- BA, plus 1-2 years of experience;
- Focused attention to detail and persistent follow-up;
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; solid work ethic and a
- Highly proactive, motivated, flexible, energetic and eager to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;
- Interest in legal training and experience in a law firm or CLE provider setting helpful, but not a prerequisite;
- Complete proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint a must; basic understanding of multimedia systems a plus.
