Attorney Recruiting & Development Coordinator/Assistant

For the New York Office of a Global Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate interviews for Summer Associates, new and lateral associates (including phone/in-person interviews, overseeing expense approval, updating candidate database, managing evaluation forms, and candidate follow up);
  • Assist with planning and organization of the Summer Associate program: coordinate and attend events, act as point person for Summer Associate questions, assist with mentoring program, monitor workload reports;
  • Coordinate OCI preparation and scheduling, provide on-site assistance at law schools for interviewing and events;
  • Coordinate planning and delivery of attorney development training programs;
  • Coordinate the NY Office's Diversity Committee meetings and events; serve as the departmental liaison to the Women's Committee;
  • Conduct market research to analyze legal recruiting trends, generate statistical and informational reports, and submit findings on behalf of the Firm for NALP, attorney salary surveys, internal presentations, etc.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree, 2+ years of campus recruiting experience in professional services (banks/law firms preferred);
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work independently as well as with a team, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all level of personnel;
  • Able to work well under pressure; demonstrates initiative and judgment to accomplish results;
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple projects with specific deadlines and adjust to changing priorities, while maintaining a strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
