Marketing Manager - Finance and Real Estate

For the New York or Philadelphia Office of an International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the development and execution of BD plans and initiatives for the Firm's global finance and real estate practice; identify synergies with other practice groups; manage practice marketing budget and track ROI;
  • Develop tailored proposals/pitches and support related to production and tracking of pitch efforts; assist with pitch strategies and provide all necessary research and other relevant support, including coaching;
  • Conduct research and analysis to help identify new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients; provide business intelligence on key competitors and marketplace trends in an effort to exploit market differentiation;
  • Develop and maintain written material for use in the group's marketing and BD initiatives, including attorney biographies, practice descriptions and experience lists; prepare legal directory and league table submissions;
  • Enhance the practice group's profile in key market segments by recommending topics, tools, formats and ideas for programs and client communications to reach target audience; identify and oversee conference/sponsorship opportunities;
  • Manage the Firm's client outreach initiatives including alerts, blog posts, conference and strategic events.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; 6 + years of marketing in a professional services environment, preferably a law firm;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; great organizational and project management skills;
  • Strong commercial sense and confidence to understand the needs and expectations of the FRE attorneys and clients, as well as how the marketing and BD function can facilitate and drive revenue generation and profile in the market;
  • Strong team work, leadership, and collaboration skills, working closely with partners, global marketing/BD colleagues, and other firm departments;
  • An individual with a professional manner who is able to maintain confidentiality; possesses high standards of ethics and integrity, and is client-focused.
