BD Manager - Latin America

For the New York Office of a Multinational Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain an up-to-date
  • Plan and run LatAm client events and seminars; coordinate LatAm sponsorships of conferences;
  • Draft/edit competitive proposals, credentials, pitches, and presentations (locally and internationally); conduct market research on existing and prospective clients and market issues; provide advice on marketing strategies to address these issues;
  • Coordinate existing projects and develop new opportunities with an understanding of the Firm's international partner and BD network; share ideas with colleagues and develop best practices and strategy for the BD team as a whole;
  • Maintain relationships with friendly-firms throughout the LatAm region and track referrals, to and from the Firm; utilize CRM to manage relationships of LatAm-based clients;
  • Manage marketing processes for assigned groups (up-to-date bios, website content, social media, etc.).

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree; 6+ years professional services experience working in high-profile, fast-paced environment;
  • Culturally astute with strong ability to work effectively with colleagues from other countries on cross-border activities;
  • Reading and writing fluency in either Spanish or Portuguese is a must, fluency in both is a plus;
  • Self-starter with ability prioritize, multi-task and drive forward multiple projects; tenacious, proactive approach to achieving results; demonstrable track record of helping to successfully grow a practice group;
  • Strong client focus and excellent interpersonal skills; team player with experience developing successful working relationships with other BD team members;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong attention to detail; willingness and enthusiasm to develop in-depth understanding of markets in which your practice areas operate.
