BD Coordinator/Specialist - Projects, Energy, Infrastructure
For the DC Office of a Multinational Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with partners and associates to drive entire pitch process, from initial messaging and drafts to managing the final proposals for client delivery; track, analyze, and distribute data on status of RFPs, including pitch debriefs;
- Maintain marketing support materials (attorney bios, experience, deal capture, client contact database, etc.) to ensure that accurate, tailored documents can be prepared efficiently;
- Conduct market intelligence for partners and associates to help identify new opportunities; manage internal and external communication; work with BD colleagues to coordinate and communicate planned marketing and client targeting activity;
- Compile information for league tables; draft entries for directories and submissions;
- Create and implement client specific action plans at team and partner level and identify key contacts; research client specific trends; communicate with the client team on a regular basis;
- Plan and run client events and seminars (e.g., choose or help to identify appropriate venues, compile invitee lists and invite design, manage budgets, etc.).
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree required; 3-7 years of professional services experience working in a high-profile, fast-paced environment (e.g. significant law firm, large professional services environment);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including regular and prompt communication of actions, progress and concerns, as well as experience writing solid proposal and accurate and compelling BD materials;
- Strong project management skills: attention to detail, ability to adhere to tight deadlines, juggle multiple projects, and deliver under pressure;
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with partners, associates, and BD colleagues; culturally astute team player with ability to work effectively with colleagues from other countries on cross-border activities;
- Willingness and enthusiasm to develop an in-depth understanding of markets in which litigation practice operates.
