Recruiting Coordinator

For the New York Office of an International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide general administrative assistance and support to the Legal Recruiting department for all aspects of attorney recruitment, including summer and fall associate program;
  • Maintain master scheduling calendar for entry-level candidates, assist in the preparation of OCI materials, schedule candidate interviews; manage correspondence, help maintain candidate database and files;
  • Schedule and organize reviews of entry-level candidates and summer associates for hiring committee meetings; coordinate end-of-year feedback and post-offer follow up efforts;
  • Coordinate summer associate assignments, track and compile evaluations, and act as liaison between lawyers and summer associates to determine staffing needs;
  • Maintain and update the Firm's recruiting site to ensure content is current;
  • Assist in planning and coordinating summer associate events, internal presentations and trainings; provide support during diversity-related, law student, summer program, and attorney social events.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree; 2+ years of on-campus recruitment experience in professional services required; legal recruiting experience strongly preferred;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; exceptional client service skills;
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to adjust work schedule as needed;
  • Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills;
  • Able to inspire confidence in staff and attorneys at all levels;
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
