Lateral Recruiting Coordinator
For the New York Office of a Highly Regarded Global Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate lateral, judicial clerk and 3L recruiting, including screening candidates, scheduling interviews, maintaining and updating candidate database, managing candidate correspondence, and coordinating follow-up efforts;
- Maintain and update lateral recruitment materials, including generating reports, printing materials, and updating website content and online postings;
- Coordinate onboarding of lateral candidates, including orientation, background checks, and managing conflicts;
- Support fall recruiting process, including scheduling attorneys, travel arrangements, managing candidates and call-back interview scheduling, and compiling post recruiting season reports;
- Assist with administration of the Summer Associate (SA) Program, including communicating with recruits prior to arrival, assisting with housing, planning and attending events/functions, and following-up on SA evaluations;
- Liaise with and maintain relationships with search firms, career services, and other recruitment professionals, including managing fee agreements.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree; 3+ years of legal or campus recruiting experience in a professional services or large law firm environment;
- Detail-oriented and strong ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and within budget; excellent time management and prioritization skills;
- Proactive and motivated with minimal supervision; makes appropriate and timely decisions within area of responsibility; anticipates needs and seeks alternatives solutions;
- Ability to work effectively and willingly in a team atmosphere; flexible and open-minded; willing to share and exchange ideas/suggestions;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; actively listens and responds to the needs of others; able to inspire confidence with staff and attorneys at all levels;
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed (significant overtime during summer/fall).
