BD/Marketing Manager

For the Philadelphia Office of Well Regarded Regional Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as primary marketing point person for select department and practice groups; research, write, and implement focused, structured marketing plans that build awareness, brand recognition, and lead generation for firm's services and practice areas;
  • Execute, track, measure, and report on strategic marketing plans, budgets, and timelines; coordinate practice group and individual lawyer new business targeting, including research, industry analysis, and individual coaching;
  • Draft and coordinate RFP responses, client presentation materials, and briefing background research;
  • Develop new projects consistent with group/individual lawyer goals and in consideration of the marketing team's bandwidth;
  • Manage the development of marketing collateral; create and maintain new business targeting lists and follow-up on projects;
  • Manage events, including seminars, webinars, roundtables, social events, and industry association sponsorships.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related area; 5-7 years of experience in professional services marketing in legal, accounting, architecture or engineering industries;
  • Solid working knowledge and experience in managing marketing and BD activities in a partner-driven management structure; demonstrable experience as a team player;
  • Proven ability to write original copy based on a solid understanding of related issues; experience managing proposals and RFPs in a professional services environment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; meticulous attention to detail;
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
