Director of Marketing

For the Los Angeles Office of a National Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement new and improve current marketing operations, key processes and procedures to ensure alignment with the Firm's overall goals; work closely with Firm leadership on significant initiatives;
  • Develop best practices to support marketing strategies and drive business; strategize with team on business development efforts; identify opportunities to retain new clients and expand existing relationships;
  • Supervise and motivate staff to promote organizational effectiveness;
  • Manage website, intranet and internal and external communications; oversee the development of new marketing and business development collateral;
  • Plan and manage the marketing budget in conjunction with Chief Strategy Officer; implement mechanism for measuring ROI of marketing efforts and establish goals for improvement;
  • Build strong relationships with marketing partners, organizers and vendors; assess vendor offerings, determine needs, solicit bids, and lead implementation of new software, client intelligence and CRM system.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Communications or Journalism; MBA or Masters in Marketing or related field a plus; 7+ years experience in a law or professional services firm;
  • Highly motivated, priority-driven, and collaborative;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal;
  • Demonstrated project and people management skills;
  • Organizational leadership and team building abilities;
  • Business maturity and discretion.
