Recruiting & Professional Development Coordinator

For the New York Office of a Boutique IP Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Complete on-campus interview (OCI) registration, resume collection forms, fees and firm marketing packages; prepare OCI binders (resumes, interview schedule, evaluation forms, etc.);
  • Screen resumes in order to select candidates for phone interviews; respond to email and telephone inquiries from candidates; distribute interview schedule and inform candidates of decisions;
  • Assist in the preparation of the summer associates' arrival, including attending orientation and preparing orientation binder; help with summer associate mailings prior to their arrival; assist with and attend orientation for full-time associates;
  • Coordinate recruiting and summer associate events, including research of venues; plan the associate party; attend all events;
  • Maintain the recruiting database (LawCruit); collect weekly work assignment forms to assist with assignments and evaluations; complete Law School statistic forms; keep track of inventory of marketing materials and order additional supplies as needed;
  • Coordinate associate training programs, including assigning presenters, setting up CLE and attendance forms and handling the annual CLE report.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; 1-2 years of related experience;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills; good judgment;
  • Self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the job; accepts responsibility, takes initiative and works independently;
  • Must have flexibility in working overtime to meet operating needs, particularly during the summer;
  • Solid knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
