Talent Manager
For the New York Office of a Global Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of recruiting of summer associates, entry-level attorneys and lateral associates;
- Manage legal personnel (on-boarding, evaluation process, exit interviews, etc.) and diversity and inclusion initiatives for the NY office;
- Implement the Firm's strategies for developing and advancing all lawyers through effective integration, training, mentoring, career development, pro bono, experiential learning and other development initiatives;
- Monitor emerging trends in peer law firms with regards to all aspects of talent management;
- Serve as advisor to the Director of Legal Personnel, Directors of Lateral and Entry-Level Hiring, Director of Attorney Communications & Inclusion, and Office Hiring Partner; serve as the primary contact for all Talent Management matters;
- Maintain databases, generate reports and perform other administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree; 4+ years of recruiting experience in a law firm and/or professional services; HR experience a plus;
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills; ability to effectively multitask and be detail oriented;
- Ability to manage people and maintain a good rapport with various personnel at all levels; ability to build relationships quickly;
- Ability to work with a team in situations that require diplomacy and confidentiality;
- Financial and statistical reporting skills; project management skills;
- Position requires occasional travel and ability to work late hours to attend Firm events.
