Marketing & Communications Coordinator

For a New York Based Boutique Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide marketing and communications support to the CMO and department to achieve the Firm's goals as they relate to content marketing, social media and PR/communication;
  • Assist attorneys in developing content marketing pieces; work closely with the graphic designer to execute the layout and printing of marketing collateral;
  • Handle internal and external creation and distribution of target mailing lists as needed; identify target publications, monitor editorial calendars, and pitch article topics;
  • Work with CMO to support the Firm's PR strategies and efforts including drafting press releases, coordinating with external PR agency, following up with attorneys on topics for commentary, etc.; set up, test and track statistics of all communications;
  • Assist with the Firm's social media initiatives, including maintaining the Firm's profile on various social networking platforms, drafting content, devising and implementing a communication strategy, etc.;
  • Work closely with the CMO and the Chairman on maintaining and updating blogs.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; 2+ years of experience in a communications or media relations role in a law firm or similar professional services environment a strong plus;
  • Outstanding writing, editing, oral and written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills;
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working under tight and shifting deadlines;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
