For the New York Office of a Prestigious National Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

Oversee client-facing pitch materials, responses to RFPs and targeted client presentations;
Monitor, analyze and report on marketing materials distributed by competitor firms and other industry sources; track/analyze industry trends; pro-actively suggest potential new business and client development strategies;
Collect, curate and organize various industry precedent documents including prospectus information for private equity firms; facilitate meetings with key industry constituents;
Monitor industry conferences for both content and BD opportunities and maintain a shared calendar of events; curate the dissemination of industry reports and other market information obtained from conferences, PLIs, and other data sources;
Oversee the compilation and submission of materials and references for the Firm-wide Private Funds Group in connection with various legal industry guides (Chambers, etc.);
Work with the director of PR to facilitate relationships with key media outlets; help develop marketing/BD initiatives and events to positively raise the group’s profile and position as subject area experts.

Qualifications include:

Bachelor's Degree; 6+ years of BD experience within a professional services firm; experience in private equity fund formation and the marketing and fundraising of private investments funds is a must;
Able to manage junior professionals, work in a team, and effectively build strong working relationships; must have a strong professional presentation in all aspects of work and communication;
Excellent organizational skills;
Strong research and writing skills;
Strong attention to detail; eye for graphic design and corporate aesthetics;
Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Sharepoint, Adobe Photoshop and CRM systems; working knowledge of QuarkXPress and Adobe Illustrator a plus.
