Recruiting Manager

For the San Francisco Office of an International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate recruiting activities with respect to all attorney searches, including Summer and Lateral Associates as well as Partners; prepare and monitor recruiting budgets for all San Francisco office recruiting efforts;
  • Screen applications and process correspondence; prepare candidate files and maintain records in database; act as liaison to candidates throughout the interviewing process;
  • Manage OCI by scheduling interviews, preparing forms and materials, identifying interviewers, etc.; assist with decisions regarding callbacks; prepare offer letters and coordinate follow up efforts; build enduring relationships with law schools;
  • Design, plan and implement a summer program, including coordinating start dates and mentor programs, scheduling orientation meetings, preparing pre-arrival materials, and planning social events; collect and analyze Summer Associate evaluations;
  • Coordinate all aspects of Lateral Associate hiring, including meeting with leaders regularly to assess needs, devise strategies, work with legal search firms, etc.; prepare data on utilization and financial analysis to support request for new hires;
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all new attorneys and coordinate on-boarding process; manage exit process for all attorneys.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree; 5+ years experience in recruiting, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications and presentation skills;
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational and team-management skills;
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively; capable of being creative and operating in a proactive manner with a broad range of professionals;
  • Capable of handling multiple projects and competing priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment; ability to travel as needed; willing to work occasionally during irregular evening and weekend hours;
  • Experience with Lawcruit and PeopleSoft is a plus.
