Business Development Analyst- Litigation

For the New York Office of a Prestigious Global Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in the tracking of representative matters, client lists, and industry/geographic experience; conduct research and compile information regarding existing and prospective clients, competitor activity, and industry and market trends;
• Prepare presentations, proposals, and pitch materials for prospective and existing clients; provide litigation information for BD responses to RFPs;
• Manage the regular update of website's marketing content;
• Coordinate directory submissions for various legal publications and industry ranking guides;
• Assist with preparation of internal and external litigation matter announcements; prepare targeted matter lists that focus on specific geographic and industry sectors in connection with various BD opportunities;
• Maintain the department's database, which records and tracks matters for precedent, marketing, and BD purposes; provide analytical/technical support to specialized client service teams.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in marketing or finance; advanced degree is a plus; 3-5 years experience in a BD or Marketing role in a professional services environment; law-firm specific background with litigation experience preferred;
• Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
• Demonstrated ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels;
• Experience with InterAction or another CRM program preferred; experience with legal-research and legal-news databases and resources is a plus.
