Recruiting & Legal Personnel Assistant

For a Respected New York Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Process incoming resumes; assist in the scheduling of interviews; gather interview evaluations and assist with maintaining recruiting statistics; update recruiting database;
  • Track school organization requests to the Firm; prepare materials for OCI and recruiting events;
  • Provide support for the Summer Program, including organizing student files, assisting with events, sending requests for evaluations, creating feedback files, scheduling lunches, and maintaining offer statuses;
  • Process background checks; organize and process visa applications; coordinate with HR and complete new hire and onboarding information packets; process salary advances;
  • Maintain and post CLE schedules and materials to the intranet; assist with maintaining and updating the Recruiting and Legal Personnel intranet pages;
  • Coordinate with search firms for lateral hiring.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree; 1+ years recruiting and/or HR experience; knowledge of legal recruiting practices; familiarity with viRecruit or a similar recruiting database;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of personnel;
  • Professional and gracious demeanor and service attitude, high level of integrity, and strong ethical standards;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail; ability to provide support for detailed and complex projects;
  • Ability to work independently under pressure;
  • Flexibility in the midst of multiple and/or changing priorities and deadlines.
