BD Specialist - Latin America

For the New York Office of a Premier International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work to support the strategic plan of the Latin America practice group through the implementation of BD goals; coordinate with BD Specialists of other practice areas on cross-selling initiatives;
  • Work closely with Firm lawyers and Marketing Department to create client-focused collateral and pitch materials that meet attorney specifications;
  • Coordinate and support major pitches, presentations and RFPs; edit, assemble and submit final pitches and proposals and analyze outcomes;
  • Maintain and update collateral, including attorney biographies, practice descriptions and experience lists;
  • Evaluate practice group strengths and conduct research on existing and prospective clients, competitor activity and industry or market trends to aid in the development of marketing plans, pitches, presentations and proposals;
  • Liaise with Media, Events and Marketing and Communications teams on awards and directories submissions, internal and external events and web and other practice-specific content, respectively.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; 4+ years of relevant experience; law firm/professional services or marketing experience is highly desirable;
  • Strong Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills; solid writing and presentation skills and an exacting attention to detail in all work products;
  • Knowledge of core marketing principals, including internal communications, seminar/event planning, branding, market research, competitive intelligence and credential and RFP preparation;
  • Excellent analytical and research skills; the ability to process information from a wide variety of sources;
  • Experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment; high-energy and motivated team player;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
