Attorney Resources and Recruitment Coordinator

For the DC Office of and International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate all aspects of law student and lateral associate hiring for the D.C. and Charlotte offices; coordinate and implement the Summer Associate Program including orientation, events, assignment tracking, evaluations and reimbursements;
  • Register for OCI dates; input resumes into recruitment database; schedule interviews, greet applicants, solicit feedback on candidates, and process candidate reimbursements; respond to applicant inquiries; prepare associate offer files;
  • Process new associate hires, schedule orientation, and assist with the conflicts and background check processes, onboarding and integration; complete surveys, maintain information in all firm-wide charts, and provide statistical data as needed;
  • Plan and attend weekly D.C. summer program social events in the evening, and select events in Charlotte;
  • Maintain complete files for all OCI schools and summer program events/trainings; create and maintain filing system for applicant files, recruiting organizational memberships files, caterers, local hotels and vendors;
  • Maintain a membership in NALP, WALRAA, and RAC.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; 2+ years of legal recruiting experience; strong knowledge and understanding of recruiting policy and procedures;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints; ability to solve problems independently, using good judgment and discretion;
  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and project a strong and positive image of the Firm;
  • Must be available for work outside normal schedule hours and occasional travel (definite extra hours during OCI, callback and Summer Program);
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Excel and LawCruit.
