Marketing and Business Development Manager

For the New York Office of an Investigative & Business Intelligence Consulting Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the development, recommendation and execution of marketing and practice development initiatives, helping to identify potential partners and opportunities including thought leadership, speaking engagements, and sponsorship;
  • Write and create marketing sales collateral that demonstrates the benefits, features and value of the Firm; identify topics of interest to potential targets, creating a range of content;
  • Support the development and delivery of information and services through the company website, manage its content and develop strategy around new content and services;
  • Assist practitioners with pitches, proposals and RFPs;
  • Manage, leverage, and grow online social media accounts by implementing strategies and tactics that improve social media presence; develop and track email campaigns including planning, testing, evaluating, and reporting;
  • Develop new keyword strategies that will improve organic search rankings, drive more traffic, and generate new inbound links from high-authority websites; help with project management, timelines, and follow-through.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing or Communication; 5+ years of experience working in marketing and/or BD in the professional services industry;
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing database and CRM systems in connection with BD and Sales Development activities; strong interest and knowledge in list management and segmentation, and the ability to use CRM to build prominence;
  • Self-starter who is capable of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment;
  • Strong writing skills;
  • Strategic thinker who is not afraid of hands-on work;
  • Experience with digital technology used for campaigns, CRM, social media, etc.
