Business Development Specialist- Real Estate

For the New York Office of a Prominent Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage a library of data for pitch materials; work with partners to produce pitches and RFPs;
  • Update marketing collateral, attorney biographies, practice descriptions and the Firm's website; coordinate the department's editorial schedule of articles, email alerts and blog posts;
  • Coordinate the real estate department's monthly event calendar, identify relevant events and conferences; assist in identifying sponsorship opportunities;
  • Collaborate with the Firm's marketing manager and PR team to publicize significant matters and raise the external profile of key members of the real estate department; coordinate Chambers USA and other directory submissions;
  • Conduct research on prospects and draft reports in order to educate lawyers on market developments, and uncover new business opportunities; stay current on industry developments and the competitive landscape;
  • Coordinate with CRM administrator to update the Firm's real estate contact lists.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; 4+ years of marketing experience in a law firm, professional services firm or equivalent commercial real estate industry experience; working understanding of the commercial real estate industry;
  • Excellent writing skills required to draft and edit a variety of marketing materials;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely with staff and attorneys; positive attitude and collaborative;
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;
  • High degree of self-motivation, and a willingness to become completely versed in real estate;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with CRM systems and databases such as LexisNexis.
