Business Development Specialist- Real Estate
For the New York Office of a Prominent Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage a library of data for pitch materials; work with partners to produce pitches and RFPs;
- Update marketing collateral, attorney biographies, practice descriptions and the Firm's website; coordinate the department's editorial schedule of articles, email alerts and blog posts;
- Coordinate the real estate department's monthly event calendar, identify relevant events and conferences; assist in identifying sponsorship opportunities;
- Collaborate with the Firm's marketing manager and PR team to publicize significant matters and raise the external profile of key members of the real estate department; coordinate Chambers USA and other directory submissions;
- Conduct research on prospects and draft reports in order to educate lawyers on market developments, and uncover new business opportunities; stay current on industry developments and the competitive landscape;
- Coordinate with CRM administrator to update the Firm's real estate contact lists.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree; 4+ years of marketing experience in a law firm, professional services firm or equivalent commercial real estate industry experience; working understanding of the commercial real estate industry;
- Excellent writing skills required to draft and edit a variety of marketing materials;
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely with staff and attorneys; positive attitude and collaborative;
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;
- High degree of self-motivation, and a willingness to become completely versed in real estate;
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with CRM systems and databases such as LexisNexis.
