Recruiting & Professional Development Coordinator

For the Washington DC Office of a Well Respected National Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the daily functioning and implementation of the summer program and on-campus interviews and provide assistance to the professional development team on a wide-variety of projects and initiatives;
  • Assist in administration of summer program, including planning meetings and events, preparing orientation materials, and tracking candidates and important documents;
  • Coordinate logistics for on-campus interviews, including registering for schools, handling travel and hotel arrangements and preparing interview materials;
  • Prescreen all second year and first year law student applications for employment using LawCruit; maintain records for all law student applicants; maintain contact with incoming summer associates leading up to summer program;
  • Coordinate aspects of entry-level and lateral hiring;
  • Assist in Pro Bono Functions, including coordinating recognition activities, maintaining the intranet page, collecting and analyzing statistical reports and assisting in pro bono committee projects as assigned.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; 2+ years of experience in law firm preferred;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Extremely motivated, detail oriented and organized;
  • Exercise discretion and good judgement; maintain confidential information at all times;
  • Demonstrate flexibility by working closely and effectively with all levels of firm and department personnel;
  • Show advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
