Recruiting & Development Manager

For the DC Office of a Government Agency
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage all aspects of on-campus recruitment including developing relationships with law schools and serving as the
  • Recruit and hire both lateral entry-level attorneys and paralegals;
  • Provide career development guidance, counseling, and career mapping for attorneys and paralegals; maintain internal mentoring program;
  • Assist in maintaining and expanding training program, leveraging internal and external resources;
  • Support management by preparing, updating, and recommending HR policies;
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing professional networks.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; JD preferred; 3+ years of relevant experience in hiring, HR management, performance management, and career development for legal professionals;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor;
  • Flexibility in the midst of multiple and/or changing priorities and deadlines;
  • Solid organization/prioritization skills and attention to detail;
  • Strong professional and ethical standards, and high integrity.
