Recruiting Assistant

For the New York Office of an International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the recruiting team with all aspects of the recruiting process, including campus recruitment, summer associate program and lateral recruitment efforts, as well as special projects;
  • Help coordinate and execute the summer associate program, including putting together on-boarding details, creating collateral materials, soliciting and retrieving evaluations, responding to inquiries, and organizing, planning and attending summer events;
  • Assist with fall recruiting by managing the recruiting telephone line, scheduling students' office visits, greeting and escorting candidates to interviews, helping with organizing fall and spring recruiting activities at law schools, etc.;
  • Ensure the department's recruiting database and files are properly maintained and correspondences with students are completed in a timely manner; track recruiting statistics and provide feedback to placement offices for assigned schools;
  • Assist with coordinating lateral recruiting interview schedules; greet and escort lateral candidates.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services preferred;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Detail-oriented with solid organizational and analytical abilities;
  • Self-starter with strong time management skills; ability to work in a fast paced and professional environment;
  • Strong interpersonal skills; team-oriented approach as well as the ability to work independently;
  • Client-service focused.
