Attorney Resources and Development Assistant
For the New York Office of an International Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide administrative support to the Director and the Coordinator by handling all daily challenges and requests relating to attorneys and attorney employment and on projects as assigned; screen incoming calls for Director;
- Assist and support in administering processes and documentation related to associate and special counsel employment, including, hires, terminations, promotions, payroll forms, tax forms, orientation processes, interoffice transfers, etc.;
- Process, pay and maintain accurate records of invoices for the department; maintain and prepare expense reports; maintains accurate records of all Attorney Development expenses;
- Update Firm records and databases to reflect changes in attorney status;
- Take primary responsibility for creation and maintenance of attorney personnel files, update Attorney Manual section of HR intranet page;
- Attend new attorney orientation and training programs and other periodic attorney events as directed.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's Degree; 2+ years of HR work and law-firm related experience preferred;
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and communication skills; ability to communicate well with all personnel and contacts outside the firm;
- Ability to act in a fair, equitable and professional manner at all times with a high degree of integrity; strong customer service orientation;
- Work well under pressure, prioritize tasks and deal with deadlines, attention to detail and strong organizational and follow-up skills;
- Requirement of a high level of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information;
- Ability to work overtime is required.
