Attorney Development and Recruiting Specialist

For the Chicago Office of a Prestigious Global Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate all aspects of attorney training, CLE tracking and reporting; monitor individual attorney CLE status and send periodic updates and reminders concerning reporting deadlines and status;
  • Responsible for Illinois CLE accreditation for all courses and annual renewal process with appropriate governmental entities; maintain CE Manager and PCAM databases for Illinois-admitted attorneys firm wide;
  • Serve as liaison for training initiatives and opportunities, both in-house and with outside providers; coordinate Chicago office mentor program; assist with diversity initiatives and other special events as needed;
  • Communicate with presenters and organize materials, book conference rooms, a/v equipment, catering etc.;
  • Assist with associate, staff attorney, and client specialist evaluation process; assist with all aspects of summer associate program, fall on-campus recruiting program, and lateral associate recruiting;
  • Track entry-level hiring efforts including offer status, interview scheduling, and follow-up; compile recruitment statistics for internal and external us; and assist with attorney departure process.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree; 3+ years of experience in a professional services environment; current knowledge of industry trends and techniques; knowledge of or ability to learn Firm operations, policies, and procedures;
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and planning skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that facilitate courteous and positive work relationships with others; ability to use discretion, exercise good judgment, handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality;
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, shifting priorities and responsibilities, and delegate effectively; ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding and fast-paced environment; and to work well independently as well as effectively within a team;
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs; flexibility to travel.
