Lateral Attorney Recruiting Specialist

For the New York Office of a Prestigious, International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Communicate and work closely with Senior Partners within all practice areas regarding lateral needs;
  • Act as primary contact for judicial clerks, lateral candidates and headhunters; coordinate judicial clerk outreach and receptions;
  • Assist in all aspects of lateral recruiting including, sourcing candidates and reviewing candidate materials; scheduling interviews and meeting candidates, and collecting & distributing interview feedback;
  • Assist in all aspects of the hiring process including handling offer/sell process, accurately tracking all candidates, facilitating visa process, preparing new-hire paperwork and coordinating orientation and onboarding;
  • Update the Firm's website with open position information;
  • Provide reports and statistical data as needed; work closely with Recruiting, Training & Development teams to assist with ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree; 5+ years of recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services environment; JD preferred;
  • Must demonstrate sound judgment, strong client service and a professional demeanor; ability to develop strong relationships with recruits and attorneys; strong leadership attitude;
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills;
  • Creative problem solver who thinks through all perspectives;
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to work independently and be able to follow up with minimal instructions; ability to prioritize work and work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment;
  • Must be responsive, information seeking and influential; respect for confidentiality is a must.
