Business Development Analyst - Project Development & Finance

For the New York Office of a Large International Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Research and compile targeted reports on markets, clients, competitors and internal financial analysis; create pitches, presentations and other marketing materials for clients and competitors; update win/loss records for the relevant sites;
  • Work with Partners and other BD colleagues in support of BD plans; help maintain BD action items for practice group; help track progress, identify opportunities and begin process of building out metrics; distribute monthly reports to the respective teams;
  • Maintain and build contact lists in firm-wide CRM System; help coordinate meetings; distribute discussion points, and follow-up on action items; coordinate contact and activity information input into internal and external relationship management tools;
  • Maintain and update practice group websites; ensure PDF-Americas-related collateral and noteworthy deal lists are reviewed, tracked and updated; assist in developing pitches, proposals and presentations specific to client and industry;
  • Research and gather business intelligence about key trends for PDF-Americas; help identify relevant events and conferences; track ROI and follow ups;
  • Coordinate and organize activities for practice including, conducting research, organizing meetings, developing action plans, and in-house and external events.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree; 3+ years of experience in BD in legal or professional services firm;
  • Proven research and analysis capabilities; ability to synthesize information from various sources in order to provide sophisticated reports in a format that is effective for Partners; detail oriented;
  • Clear, straightforward written and oral communication skills, including excellent grammar; actively seeks innovative ways to improve processes, products, and client experience;
  • Sound business judgment and problem-solving skills; strong client service orientation; professional image with ability to form good Partner relationships across functions; outstanding interpersonal skills;
  • Strong knowledge of global financial markets, corporate business market, legal market and industry trends;
  • Strong aptitude with the use of financial/research databases.
