Director of Communications
For the New York City Office of an International Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Implement a firm-wide communications and visibility strategy to raise the Firm's profile, using a variety of media channels;
- Lead communications professionals in supporting the Firm's public relations and media relations programs;
- Develop media contacts and relationships with key business and legal journalists in national or trade media;
- Create online and social media strategies.
Qualifications include:
- 7+ years of broad-based public relations and communications experience within a large professional services firm or corporate environment; Law firm experience highly preferred;
- Bachelor's degree required; JD preferred;
- Experience with national or trade media; experience with international media highly desirable;
- Strong understanding of the legal industry, as well as the regional and national business environment;
- Confidence, professionalism, and the ability to develop relationships with Firm management and attorneys;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; exceptional interpersonal skills.
