BD Manager
For the 50-Attorney New York Office of a Well-Established NY Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Work closely with attorneys on the creation and implementation of individual business plans to help drive their business goals;
- Coach attorneys on techniques for implementing strategic BD strategies for generating new business opportunities, expanding existing relationships, and pursuing cross-selling opportunities;
- Work with partners and associates individually to develop their personal
- Provide support and research to help identify new business opportunities for expanding the Firm's network; identify and organize CLE programs to support attorneys in developing their brand and expertise to target clients;
- Conduct research on clients, industries and legal developments to inform individual attorneys on potential opportunities for new client work;
- Help cultivate prospective client relationships by identifying opportunities, such as: one-on-one meetings, seminars, speaking engagements, sponsorships and client alerts.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree; degree in marketing, communications, public relations a plus, or related field strongly preferred; 4+ years Marketing/BD experience in a law firm or professional services environment;
- Ability to develop trust-filled relationships with Partners and Associates in order to advise them on their personal business strategies;
- Working knowledge of various business development tools and strategies and strong organizational and implementation skills;
