Associate Development Coordinator - Litigation
For the New York Office of an International Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Help oversee annual review process for all US litigation associates and counsel: create review folders, including previous review documents; distribute and collect reviews; read review summaries and log reviewers' comments; facilitate exit interviews;
- Assist Litigation Staffing Manager with staffing matters: help track each junior associate's matters; update associate interests and availability charts; track high and low billers; track hours by team;
- Provide organizational support to the Career Advisor Program, including: maintain master litigation chart; assist in making associate mentor/mentee matches; help manage program parameters and procedures;
- Assist with administrative tasks associated with litigation professional development programs and the Summer Associate Litigation program;
- Help organize all litigation department social activities, including: organize lunches, parties, and floor events; organize victory/milestone dinners; organize Partner dinners with new associates;
- Collect and analyze data, including running reports on hours, type of work done, and other metrics; create and update charts identifying junior associates on each partners' teams.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's Degree required; 2+ years professional development, preferably in the legal or professional services industries;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team; strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at once;
- Excellent interpersonal skills; team player with the ability to communicate effectively and inspire confidence in staff and attorneys at all levels;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel and other sensitive matters is critical.
