Marketing & BD Manager-Corporate

For the New York Office of a Magic Circle Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Spearhead the development and implementation of marketing and business development strategies and plans;
  • Use business intelligence and internal data in identifying trends and developments impacting the corporate practice;
  • Create targeted proposals and manage all aspects of RFP/RFI response, as well as develop/manage related resources and materials;
  • Track the success of pitching and other business development activities and analyze/report on results;
  • Identify practice-related awards and prepare submissions for individuals and teams, as well as manage related directory and research guide submissions;
  • Manage the practice's web presence, including drafting and updating practice-related content.

Qualifications include:

  • 7+ years experience in marketing and business development working with a corporate practice at a law firm;
  • Strong client service focus, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database programs;
  • Deep knowledge of corporate-related research tools and databases is preferred.
