Attorney Recruiting & Development Coordinator

For the New York Office of an International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the summer associate program, coordinating the orientation and onboarding schedule, planning and attending events, arranging on-campus interviews, scheduling follow-ups, and assisting in the offer process;
  • Oversee the lateral attorney recruiting process, working closely with practice groups to identify and recruit lateral associate, counsel, senior counsel and partner candidates;
  • Review and process all incoming applications, and maintain recruiting database and candidate files;
  • Develop relationships with lateral search firm recruiters and ensure all search firm procedures are correctly tracked and implemented;
  • Update firm recruitment and promotional materials, intranet and website;
  • Work with and assist attorneys in the coordination of attorney development training programs.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training and experience required;
  • 2+ years experience in recruiting or professional development in a law firm environment;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite with the ability to produce memos, spreadsheets, slides and documents;
  • Previous experience using ViDesktop and UltiPro preferred;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing with attorneys, staff, vendors and the public;
  • Ability to provide quality client service to both internal and external contacts regarding both routine and complex matters.
