Business Development Specialist (Corporate & Finance)

For the New York Office of a Wall Street Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop client and market research and analysis and draft materials related to business development opportunities;
  • Maintain and update practice marketing content including practice group descriptions and lawyer biographies;
  • Track deals to ensure representative matter descriptions, client lists and industry experience are current and accurate for use in practice area marketing;
  • Create and edit responses to client-specific RFPs, customized pitches and presentations;
  • Conduct research on current and prospective clients, competitor activity and industry market trends;
  • Collect and archive matter/case summaries and all related information for use in pitches/ RFPs, bios, legal directory submissions, website, annual review, press release etc.;

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in a law firm or professional services, marketing or business development experience strongly preferred;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, an outgoing and client-friendly personality and the demeanor to interact in a positive and professional manner;
  • Experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative professional environment;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment;
  • Capable of staying productive and accurate under pressure with tight deadlines;
  • Strong customer service ethic and outstanding interpersonal skills.
