Marketing Communications Director

For the New York Office of a Well-Respected New Jersey Based Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with Firm leadership, the CMO and the Firm's PR agency to develop an internal and external communications strategy to support the Firm's brand and strategic business development;
  • Manage the Firm's brand to ensure consistency and build brand awareness, including supporting production of collateral materials and advertising
  • Develop and implement content strategy to support the Firm's brand and strategic plan;
  • Manage relationships with outside firm resources including the branding agency, the public relations firm and freelance writers;
  • Work with PR agency and Firm leadership to develop and implement media strategies; supervise media outreach;
  • Oversee external communications with the business development team and design firm, including client alerts, newsletters, event content and related communications.

Qualifications include:

  • 10+ of marketing communications experience at a law firm;
  • Background in marketing, communications or journalism;
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional writing skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop excellent relationships with colleagues and internal clients;
  • Ability to recruit, retain and motivate staff.
  • Must be able to travel weekly to the NJ office.
