Proposals Coordinator
For the Chicago Office of a Top 10 Global Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Support all aspects of responding to RFPs and creating proposals and pitches, including developing drafts, finalizing the end product, overseeing submission to the client or prospective client, and follow-up to determine the result;
- Oversee and complete submissions of RFP responses, proposals and pitches; prepare quality first drafts by researching the company, industry, practices and lawyers involved;
- Work as part of the Business Acquisition Unit to actively contribute to the creation and management of content that is responsive to lawyer, practice, Firm and client needs;
- Assist senior managers with auditing all completed pitches, proposals and RFPs uploaded to the Marketing Center; submit profiles for personally completed work to the proposals database;
- Monitor electronic proposal in-take forms based on the location or the practice mix of the RFP, proposal or pitch;
- Assist senior managers with preparation of the Snapshot newsletter and in updating and maintaining templates; update awards and other content for Firm and practice materials.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree; 3+ years of experience in a business or professional services environment; experience in a legal environment preferred;
- Excellent oral communications skills; excellent business writing skills with meticulous attention to detail;
- Excellent critical and analytical thinking, judgment, problem-solving and common sense;
- Strong commitment to teamwork; ability to establish effective working relationships across regional, practice and Firm lines;
- Strong organizational, time and project management skills; ability to handle many projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities;
- Proficiency in a second language desirable.
