Recruiting Manager

For the New York Office of a Global Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the implementation and development of lawyer recruiting initiatives for the Firm's New York office;
  • Source, assess and present candidates for the Firm's summer associate and on-campus recruiting programs, entry-level positions and lateral non-partner lawyer hiring efforts;
  • Oversee and implement the New York office Summer Program by planning and attending events, coordinating the mentor program and assisting with the work assignment process;
  • Build strategic relationships with career services personnel and key law student groups;
  • Develop and execute recruiting initiatives at key law schools;
  • Assist with firm events, lawyer orientation, onboarding and budget management by working closely with other members of the legal recruiting and legal talent departments.

Qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of legal recruitment experience;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and management skills; ability to successfully interact with all levels of firm personnel;
  • Demonstrated strength in developing and maintaining relationships both within and outside the organization;
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment; ability to exercise judgment and handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion;
  • Initiative to accomplish results while working independently or as part of a team;
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and various databases.
