Attorney Development Coordinator

For the New York Office of an Innovative West Coast Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Director and the local staffing partner in NY on staffing matters to ensure that associates are fully utilized, have the opportunity to work on a variety of matters with different partners and achieve progress toward their development
  • Assist the Director and other Attorney Development team members in the implementation of practice area and Firm-wide training curricula, including coordinating logistics;
  • In collaboration with the firm's Library department, review course materials for CLE compliance;
  • Assist with performance evaluation process and other modalities for providing feedback to associates;
  • Create and disseminate tools for associates to manage their career development;
  • Collaborate with Recruiting and Attorney Development team members on attorney orientation and integration to enhance processes and ensure smooth transitions.

Qualifications include:

  • 2+ years of experience coordinating attorney development activities in a law firm;
  • Knowledge of and experience with NY CLE preferred;
  • Excellent written, organizational and communication skills;
  • Ability to effectively handle shifting priorities and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and is able to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, are required.
