Professional Development and Assignment Specialist

For the New York Office of a Boutique Consulting Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work directly with the Senior Development and Assignment Manager on staffing consultants for projects;
  • Ensure ongoing dialogue with case managers to align staffing decisions with consultants' skills and professional development goals;
  • Work proactively to anticipate, identify and address staffing issues;
  • Coordinate with NY office Senior Manager and with managers across the firm to ensure that cross-office staffing needs are met;
  • Support NY office Senior Manager in communication of staffing decisions throughout the office;
  • Participate in practice-wide strategic initiatives and projects.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree; 3+ years in talent or human resource management in a professional services environment;
  • Strong competency in core professional skills, especially attention to detail, responsiveness, critical thinking, follow-through, flexibility and initiative;
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to balance and prioritize business objectives;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong relationships with various levels of an organization;
  • Strong client service and problem solving skills.
