Legal Personnel and D&I Coordinator

For the DC Office of an International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cultivate strong working relationships with and provide ongoing support, guidance and assistance to associates, senior associates and counsel committees;
  • Facilitate the selection and scheduling of target law schools for campus interviews; assist in the hiring decision process; plan recruitment receptions and offer dinners for assigned schools;
  • Organize all aspects of the arrival, transition and departure processes for lateral hires, attorneys, staff attorneys and technology specialists; provide substantive feedback and methods for improving and expanding these processes;
  • Coordinate legal development and training programs for new attorneys and summer associates; address training and development needs, develop curricula and implement programs to maximize effectiveness and quality;
  • Coordinate the annual attorney compensation process and the semi-annual evaluation processes for associates, senior associates, counsel, special counsel, discovery attorneys, attorneys and staff attorneys;
  • Assist with planning Firm-wide diversity and inclusion programs, events and meetings.

Qualifications include:

  • 1+ years of experience in a law firm; Bachelor's degree required;
  • Strong attention to detail; excellent analytical skills; strong communication and inter-personal skills;
  • Ability to work in a team environment; excellent time management skills;
  • Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, viDesktop or other talent management systems.
