Events Specialist

For a New York Based Boutique Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the development and execution of all firm hosted seminars and events, including: identifying target audience, invites, materials, RSVP lists, all event communication & follow-up, website posting;
  • Manage all event logistics, coordinating with other departments as needed for: AV requirements, room layout, food services, escorts, CLE requirements, pre and post event meetings, expense tracking;
  • Identify potential conferences and evaluate sponsorship opportunities; track Business Development follow-up, evaluate and identify ROI post-event;
  • Act as liaison between conference organizer and Firm and coordinate: sponsorship benefits, PowerPoint/collateral materials development, hosted dinners, deadlines, website postings and conference communication;
  • Support the organization of speaking engagements, including: managing deadlines, engagement logistics, assisting with PowerPoint development, presentation rehearsal, website posting, BD follow-up and ROI;
  • Coordinate development and execution of all client presentations, including: invites, handouts and presentation development, CLE requirements.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing or communications; 2+ years related work experience, in a professional services environment, preferably in a law firm;
  • Outstanding proofreading, organizational, oral/written communications and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work with and inspire confidence in all levels of personnel, as well as firm leadership;
  • Positive,
  • Customer-focused approach and a strong work ethic;
  • xcellent technological skills, including proficiency in Windows and MS Office applications (in particular PowerPoint); knowledge of ContactEase and iContact a plus.
