Client Development Analyst
For the New York Office of a Prestigious Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Execute various research projects in support of the Firm's business development, client development and marketing initiatives;
- Analyze and report on a wide variety of company, business and competitor data for use in BD, cross selling and strategic planning efforts across practices and departments;
- Synthesize information to provide clear and detailed company profiles, industry overviews, biographical summaries and analysis of key matters, industry trends and outside counsel;
- Update coverage for key clients and prospects and investment banks along with relevant BD Managers;
- Draft, monitor and update news alerts for client and business development purposes through available competitive intelligence resources;
- Collaborate with members of the BD Department to gain a firm understanding of key clients, practice strengths, differentiators, competitors and other factors that could influence the direction of research efforts.
Qualifications include:
- 3+ years of experience in research, business or competitive intelligence, or corporate strategy positions; law firm experience a plus;
- In-depth knowledge of the litigation landscape, including an understanding of relevant litigation matter types, key players in the marketplace, industry trends and competitor law firms;
- Strong project management skills; ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities to meet time-sensitive deadlines, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication ability, including writing, editing and presentation skills;
- Strong intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness to ensure team success;
- High energy and genuine enthusiasm for the subject of legal marketing and business development activities and goals.
