Director of BD

For the DC Office of a Well-Respected, National Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with Firm leadership and the marketing team to set strategic objectives and implement initiatives that drive new business growth;
  • Oversee campaigns to promote practice and industry groups, launch new practices or client teams where there is growth potential, and form strategic alliances with referral sources;
  • Provide oversight regarding development of business plans, pitches, RFP responses, business development meetings and firm-hosted events;
  • Track key performance indicators of business development progress; share findings, analysis and recommendations with practice group and office leaders;
  • Further develop and mentor a high-caliber, proactive and service-oriented marketing team.

Qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of experience as a business development and client service leader in a professional services environment;
  • Experience instituting systems and processes to track and measure performance metrics;
  • Skillful at establishing rapport and working effectively across diverse stakeholder groups;
  • Experienced strategist and team leader;
  • Excellent presenter and writer.
