Business Development Specialist - LatAm/Transactional

For the New York or Miami Office of an International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working alongside the BD Manager, assist with strategic initiatives for the transactional practices in Latin America; assist in the preparation of key pitches, proposals and preparing presentations to clients for the practice group;
  • Maintain marketing materials about the capabilities and experience across the relevant practice groups;
  • Build and implement initiatives to help improve the profile and positioning of the transactional practice groups, both internally and externally;
  • Draft submissions for legal directories and award entries; coach lawyers for directory interviews; provide feedback and report on rankings;
  • Oversee the production and distribution of client alerts, newsletters and other publications;
  • Develop close working relationships with key organizations essential for successful event organization, sponsorships and business profiling of the Firm.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; 2+ years of business development, marketing or relevant legal experience;
  • Creative, outgoing, collaborative, and a team player;
  • Strong research and writing skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to take initiative;
  • Organized and efficient, with the ability to manage time well, prioritize effectively and handle multiple deadlines;
  • Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred.
